Meals Plus is a day centre in the Heart of Parramatta, providing meals and assisting the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community. These may be people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, facing crisis and people living with a mental illness. Approximately 200 meals are served each day to those in need from our Macquarie Street location, as well as essential items and food hampers.

Staff at Meals Plus will work with individuals and families to develop a response plan that is appropriate for them and to provide access and referrals to the necessary agencies and programs, many of which will be available onsite through appointments. This makes it easier for people to navigate an often complex system, provides them a “warm” referral to services and minimizes the need to travel to multiple sites and retell their story and circumstance.

We continually seek out services and programs that benefit our clients and provide space onsite for delivery of these services, as well as haircuts, podiatry, chiropractic, dental and other health services. Our future plan is to run groups to educate and improve living skills of our visitors- again enhancing their lives for a better future.
