|Time Out Café
|Volunteers are required at our Time Out Café at Westmead Uniting, a congregation of Parramatta Mission.The Café opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am until 2pm, volunteers are required to assist with setting up, serving light refreshments such as tea, coffee, sandwiches and scones. Volunteers are also required with tidying, wiping tables and packing away.
|Based in Westmead Volunteers are required to assist with Playgroup each Monday and Wednesday from 9am – 11am. This involves interacting with Mothers and their children, assisting with arts and crafts as well as set up and pack down of the room.
|CVS Volunteers||A volunteer visitor is a person who sets aside time, at least once a fortnight, to visit and befriend a resident of an Australian Government subsidised aged care home. Anyone willing to volunteer their time to provide friendship or companionship can be a CVS Volunteer.
There is an option to either join as a group and visit every first and third Tuesday of the month at 10.30am for one hour or join as an individual and provide one on one companionship and visit on a day that suits both yourself and the resident.
|Meals Plus||Based in Parramatta, Meals Plus provides breakfast and lunch for those who are homeless or facing homelessness/financial crisis.
Volunteers are required during the week Monday to Friday from 6:30am-1:30pm to assist in Meal preparation, cleaning and serving lunch
|Meals Plus Driver||We require a Volunteer Driver who can assist with Donation pickups on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The hours will be from 9am – 1.30pm and the ability to assist with loading and unloading is required.
The Vehicle is an Automatic, VW Crafter
A C Class Drivers licence is required.
|Meals Plus Store person||A Volunteer is required every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am – 12pm to assist with unpacking food donations and putting them away in our storage area neatly and efficiently.
You will also be required to pack small food parcels and ensure these are constantly stocked.
|Women’s Refuge||Assistance is required at a local women’s refuge one day a week.
We require a female to assist with duties around the refuge including the resetting of rooms when families are about to move in.
|Social Inclusion Volunteer||Based in Parramatta, you will be assisting with our Western Sydney Leisure & Recreation Service (WSLARS) you will be providing activities which assist with Social Inclusion and support. Predominantly the role will assist our members with painting nails, doing hair and creating a socially inclusive space.
This role we be once a month on Tuesdays from 1pm – 3pm. No experience is necessary, but a friendly, supportive person is required.
|Yoga Instructor Volunteer||To assist the Western Sydney Leisure & Recreation Service (WSLARS) by providing a Yoga Session in a safe and nurturing environment.
This will be once a month on Wednesdays from 1pm – 2pm.
Experience as a Yoga instructor is essential.
|Bunnings BBQ’s||Every so often we host a Bunnings BBQ to raise much needed funds for various services. These occur on either a Saturday or Sunday, and you can either assist for half a day or the whole day.
Bunnings BBQ’s allows for people 16 years and older to be involved.
