    Current Volunteer Opportunities

    Time Out Café

     

    Volunteers are required at our time out café at Westmead Uniting, a congregation of Parramatta Mission.
    The Café opens on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am until 2pm, volunteers are further required to assist on the daily setting up, serving tea or coffee, cleaning up and clearing tables. 

     

    Wesley Conference Hall

     

    Based in Westmead Volunteers are required to assist with Playgroup each Monday and Wednesday from 9am – 11am. This involves interacting with Mothers and their children, assisting with arts and crafts as well as set up and pack down of the room.

     

    Westmead Church

     

    Based in Westmead an avid Gardener is required to volunteer on a fortnightly on-going basis to assist with the rejuvenation and consistent care of the Gardens surrounding the Westmead Church area.

     

    Meals Plus Based in Parramatta, Meals Plus provides breakfast and lunch for those who are homeless or facing homelessness/financial crisis. Volunteers are required during the week Monday to Friday from 6:30am-1:30pm to assist in Meal preparation, cleaning and serving lunch

     

    CVS Volunteers
    A CVS volunteer visitor is a person who sets aside time, at least once a fortnight, to visit and befriend a resident of an Australian Government subsidised aged care home. Anyone willing to volunteer their time to provide friendship or companionship can be a CVS Volunteer.

    There is an option to either join as a group and visit every first and third Tuesday of the month at 10.30am for one hour or join as an individual and provide one on one companionship and visit on a day that suits both yourself and the resident.

     

    Data Entry/Admin We are looking for Data Entry Volunteers to assist with transferring information into our new online system. Volunteer responsibilities include entering data into our database and maintaining accurate records of valuable and sensitive company information. Our ideal candidate has data entry skills, with an eye for detail and familiarity with online forms and Microsoft Outlook.

     

     

    Design and Digital Communications Based in Parramatta, this role will assist the Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator with various tasks including, but not limited to – Graphic Design, Social Media, Website Design and Creating Collateral. Experience with Adobe and Word Press is desirable however not necessary.

    The role requires availability on Mondays.
