Pastoral Counselling Institute (PCI) is a unique service that offers counselling and psychological services to those whose lives are impacted by mental illness, relationship difficulties, and forensic issues. PCI applies an integrated approach that seeks to incorporate evidence based psychological practice with people’s own spiritual journey to work toward wholistic wellbeing.
Many people value an opportunity to incorporate their personal faith framework into the therapeutic process. However, we also offer counselling and treatment for people of other faiths, and those with no religious affiliation. Our staff are qualified psychologists and counsellors who hold registration with the relevant regulation agencies, and have a strong grounding in theology. We are dedicated to providing evidenced based services to address personal, relationship, and family issues. We also have a specialised program dedicated to forensic work. Our work is underpinned by our values of grace, dignity, faith, hope and inclusion, regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.
