What We Do

Improved Daily Living

Improved Daily Living falls under the Capacity Building category. This subcategory is used to allocate funding specifically to be used for training or support to develop maintain or increase skills for independence and community participation. Funds for Improved Daily Living are most commonly put towards therapeutic support services. At Parramatta Mission, we have a number of Allied Health Professionals who can provide support under this category.

Occupational Therapists can also help build programs to achieve and build independence with everyday tasks such as showering, dressing, eating and enhancing community participation. We offer a range of therapeutic supports for your health & well being, all provided by professional staff. This includes occupational therapy, dietary, nutritional & exercise programs.

If you have a current NDIS plan with approved funding for ‘Improved Daily Living’ under your capacity building supports category, you may be eligible to access a range our Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Counselling services. Our team of registered Allied Health professionals, occupational therapists, psychologists, and exercise physiologists can help you strengthen your life skills to achieve your goals through an individualised support program.

They can work with you and your support team to work out a plan to support your goals. This could include help with language and communication, interacting with other people, managing anxiety, interacting with your environment and prescribing equipment.

We can also provide therapy in individual and group formats.
